I want to make a prediction. In the not too distant future, you are going to see Peppercotton Jewelry on trend-setting Nashville celebs like Nicole Kidman, Sheryl Crow or Faith Hill.
After a quick google search, I found their jewelry on the radar screen of New York Magazine, Huffington Post and Seventeen Magazine. Not bad for two up and coming jewelry designers from Rhode Island School of Design.
Patrick Culpepper and Aurelia Cotton didn’t set out to be jewelry designers, but happened upon their passion after discovering a process of filling nylon mesh tubing with loose Swarovski and vintage Czech crystals to create the look of a crystal rope. By mixing crystals of different color hues, sizes and gradients, this painstaking process brings to life spectacular, one-of-a-kind necklaces.
Imagine a painting as it transitions from one color to the next; this technique allows for the necklaces to move from subtle to bold, vibrant color ranges. If you’re thinking Timothy Leary right now, you should. The end result is absolutely stunning. Patrick and Aurelia’s necklaces start at about $200 and the more complex creations are priced at over $500.
